How to Use Your Assets

Every Running Sidework promotion comes with tools designed to make execution easier. This page explains what each asset is, how to use it, and when printing or customization may be helpful.

Not every promotion includes every asset. Simply use the sections below for the pieces included with the promotion you're running.

Playbook or Speed Rail

This is your main guide for the promotion. We recommend printing it in full color when possible so photos, examples, and visual details are easy to reference. Playbooks are yours to keep - assets are available as long as you are a subscriber.

The file downloads as a PDF and can also be kept digitally. We recommend creating a dedicated folder on your computer for Running Sidework promotions so you can easily save each Playbook or Speed Rail and come back to it later.

Guest Drink Menu

Your guest drink menu is provided as a ready-to-print 4.5 × 11 PDF.

You can send this file directly to a professional printer without rearranging or resizing it.

We recommend printing guest menus in full color and on heavier card stock whenever possible.

Bartender Recipe Guide

The Bartender Recipe Guide is an easy-to-download PDF designed for the team behind the bar. Download it, print copies for your bartenders if helpful, or keep a digital copy where your team can easily access it during prep and service.

Drink Marketing Guide

The Drink Marketing Guide is provided as a downloadable PDF. Use it as a manager or bar-team resource to help your staff understand how the featured drinks can be presented, talked about, and supported throughout the promotion.

Your social media graphics will download as a ZIP file containing three different images you can use throughout the promotion.

Once the file downloads, extract the images from the folder and save them somewhere easy to find.

Use them wherever they make sense in your social media schedule rather than taking screenshots from the website.

Social Media Strategy

The Social Media Strategy is a downloadable PDF that gives you guidance for promoting the event online. It is also an easy resource to hand directly to the person or team member who handles your restaurant's social media posts.

Staff Hype Flyer

The Staff Hype Flyer is designed to help your team know what's coming and get excited about the promotion before it begins.

Print it and hang it in staff areas, the back of the restaurant, or anywhere your team regularly sees internal communication. You can also write directly on it or include copies with paychecks or other staff materials.

Partnership Letter

The Partnership Letter is editable in Canva so you can quickly personalize it for your restaurant and event.

It's also a great hand off for your reps coming in to place orders.

We've kept customization simple. You do not need to redesign the letter. Look for the editable fields and add your restaurant name, restaurant phone number, event date, event time, and the date you would like the form returned to you. Once those fields are complete, download and print the finished letter or share it digitally with a potential partner.

Shopping List

The Shopping List includes suggested Amazon links that may make it easier to find supplies, décor, or other items that could support the promotion.

These are suggestions, not required purchases. You may already have what you need, prefer another vendor, or decide not to use a particular item at all. The links are simply there to make shopping faster if you want an easy option.

Customizable Event Flyer

Your event flyer includes designated fields that can be edited in Canva. Open the Canva template, update the editable information for your restaurant and event, and leave the rest of the design in place. Save it to your computer, preferably in the file you created for the promotion.

We've kept customization simple—you are only changing the information specific to your restaurant or event, not redesigning the flyer. Once your changes are complete, download the finished flyer and send it directly to your printer. We recommend printing event flyers in full color whenever possible.

If you would rather have your printer handle the customization, or want larger versions like posters printed, ask whether they offer basic file-editing or design services. Many professional printers can add your restaurant-specific information before printing.

A Few Printing Basics

Whenever possible, download and use the original file rather than a screenshot.

This helps preserve the quality of the design.

For professionally printed pieces, send the original PDF to your printer and tell them the finished size and quantity you need. You do not need to place multiple copies on a page yourself; the printer can arrange and trim the pieces based on its equipment.

For Canva pieces that will be professionally printed, download your finished design as a PDF Print file before sending it to the printer. For pieces that will be handled frequently or displayed for an extended period, ask your printer whether a heavier paper or cardstock would be appropriate.

Use What Works for Your Restaurant

You do not have to use every asset included with a promotion. Choose the pieces that make sense for your restaurant, your team, your guests, and the version of the promotion you're running.
The goal is to make execution easier—not to create more work.
